About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Software Test Automation Lead to drive the automation testing strategy and quality engineering practices across our digital banking platform.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in test automation frameworks, API testing, web and mobile automation, and leadership of QA automation teams. You will be responsible for defining automation standards, improving testing efficiency, and ensuring high-quality software delivery across multiple products and platforms.

You will work closely with engineering, product, DevOps, and business teams to establish a modern automation-first quality culture.

Key Responsibilities

Automation Strategy & Leadership

  • Define and implement the organization's test automation strategy.
  • Lead and mentor automation engineers and QA team members.
  • Establish automation standards, frameworks, and best practices.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the quality engineering function.

Automation Framework Development

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks.
  • Ensure automation coverage across:
  • Web applications
  • Mobile applications
  • APIs
  • Backend services

CI/CD & Quality Engineering

  • Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Support shift-left testing practices and continuous quality assurance.
  • Improve release confidence through automated quality gates.

Test Planning & Execution

  • Define automation scope and coverage for new features.
  • Review test scenarios and identify automation opportunities.
  • Monitor test execution results and quality metrics.

Collaboration

  • Work closely with developers, business analysts, product managers, and DevOps teams.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and release planning activities.

Reporting & Governance

  • Track and report automation KPIs and quality metrics.
  • Provide visibility into automation coverage, defects, and release readiness.

Required Qualifications

Experience

  • 8+ years of experience in software testing
  • 4+ years of experience in test automation
  • 2+ years of experience leading QA automation teams

Technical Skills

  • Test Automation Frameworks
  • Selenium
  • Appium
  • API Testing
  • Postman
  • REST Assured
  • TestNG / JUnit

Programming Skills

  • Java (preferred)
  • JavaScript
  • Python (plus)

DevOps & CI/CD

  • Jenkins

Testing Expertise
