About The Opportunity
The Cybersecurity Risk & Compliance Coordinator serves as the County's central point of contact for technology and electronic data security, regulatory compliance, and technology continuity and recovery planning. The position coordinates cross-department communication, supports compliance efforts, assists with risk and incident processes, and provides countywide training and education.

- Provide guidance and mentorship to colleagues on best practices and compliance requirements
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, business administration, or related field; and five (5) years of professional, consultative, or technical experience in the design, development, or analysis of information systems, including at least two (2)years information security business continuity or compliance responsibilities, and two (2) years in a supervisory, lead, or technical leadership capacity. Leadership in technology projects may substitute for supervisory experience.

- Availability for assigned after hours support
- Availability during a County cybersecurity incident or County emergency.
- Must obtain and maintain the PCI DSS Internal Security Assessor (ISA) certification within three (3) months of hire.
- Background Check: The selected finalist(s) for this position must be able to pass a thorough background investigation conducted by the Sheriff's Office. The background Investigation for this position typically take 6-8 weeks to complete so you will want to plan accordingly. The information that will be required when you complete the Personal History Statement includes, but is not limited to:
- Employment Information (past 10 years or back to age 17; 3 co- workers will be requested from each past employer)
- Residential Information (past 10 years or back to age 17)
- Financial Information
- References (6 without using the same people as coworker or supervisor references)

- Past/Present Drug Use and/or Controlled Substances
- Criminal History
The Information Security Division is a four‑person team responsible for strengthening the County’s security posture by promoting security awareness and education, maintaining governance, risk, and compliance activities, leading incident response and business continuity efforts, and managing threats and vulnerabilities across County systems.
