Red Team Operator
Indexed description
The role:
- You'll plan and execute full-scope red team engagements against mature targets.
- You'll develop and adapt custom TTPs to bypass modern defensive tooling, drawing on your understanding of attacker tradecraft and detection engineering.
- You'll build and maintain bespoke tooling and implants in support of operations - from initial access through to objectives.
- You'll conduct threat intelligence-led assessments where relevant.
- Has hands-on experience planning and executing multi-phase red team operations, not just penetration tests.
- Is comfortable developing custom offensive tooling in languages such as C, C#, Rust, Go, or Python.
- Has a solid understanding of both Linux and Windows - authentication mechanisms, trust relationships, and common defensive controls.
- Thinks like an adversary: patient, methodical, and creative when the obvious path is blocked.
- Can communicate findings to a range of audiences without losing technical accuracy.
- Is eligible to hold, or already holds, UK Developed Vetting (DV) clearance. Due to the nature of our work, this is a requirement for the role.
- Is willing to commute to our Basingstoke office.
- Evasion of modern EDR/XDR solutions and an understanding of detection logic well enough to inform tool development.
- Knowledge of physical security techniques, social engineering, and initial access tradecraft.
- Familiarity with C2 frameworks and the operational security considerations around their deployment.
- Experience with cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP) from an offensive perspective - misconfiguration abuse, lateral movement, and privilege escalation.
Perks and benefits:
- 25 days annual leave, rising by 1 day per year up to 28 days + bank holidays
- Annual bonus based on company targets
- 6% matched pension
- Training and conference budgets
- Private medical insurance
- Employee assistance program
