Director, Exposure Management (Cybersecurity)
Location: Preferred: Puerto Rico (On-Island) | Open to qualified candidates in approved U.S. states
Employment Type: Full-Time
- Puerto Rico: $108K–$114K)
- U.S. Locations: Up to $135K
Compensation: Competitive salary based on location and experience, plus annual incentive opportunity.
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced cybersecurity leader to oversee and mature our Exposure Management program. This role expands beyond traditional Vulnerability Management by driving a comprehensive strategy to identify, prioritize, and reduce cyber exposure across the enterprise.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical foundation, proven leadership experience, and the ability to partner with both technical and business stakeholders to strengthen the organization's overall security posture. While candidates based in Puerto Rico are preferred, highly qualified professionals located in approved U.S. states will also be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the organization's Exposure Management program, evolving beyond traditional vulnerability management into a holistic cyber risk strategy.
- Drive the identification, prioritization, and remediation of vulnerabilities and configuration-related risks across enterprise environments.
- Establish visibility, accountability, and governance for organizational cyber exposure.
- Partner with infrastructure, engineering, IT, and business leaders to reduce overall cyber risk.
- Oversee vulnerability management tools and processes to improve security posture and operational effectiveness.
- Develop and communicate meaningful security metrics, risk reporting, and executive-level updates.
- Lead and mentor cybersecurity professionals while fostering a collaborative, high-performing team culture.
- Support strategic security initiatives and continuous improvement efforts across the enterprise.
Required Qualifications
Experience
- Information Security professional with a strong technical background.
- Minimum of 5 years of leadership and people management experience.
- Proven experience leading cybersecurity programs, teams, and strategic initiatives within complex enterprise environments.
Technical Expertise
- Deep understanding of vulnerability management platforms such as Rapid7, Tenable, or comparable technologies.
- Experience identifying, assessing, and managing enterprise security misconfigurations.
- Strong knowledge of asset management, security hygiene, exposure reduction, and risk prioritization.
- Ability to translate technical findings into business-focused risk discussions and actionable recommendations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Exposure Management frameworks, methodologies, or enterprise-wide cyber risk programs.
- Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies and the security considerations associated with their adoption.

Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive base salary based on geographic location and experience.
