Responsabilities

  • Execute vulnerability management activities, including vulnerability identification, analysis, risk-based prioritization, and remediation tracking.
  • Work closely with IT, infrastructure, and application teams to support timely remediation and manage risk-based exceptions.
  • Contribute to the development of reporting on vulnerability trends, risk exposure, and remediation performance for operational and leadership visibility.
  • Support the execution and continuous improvement of the annual penetration testing program across infrastructure, applications, and cloud environments.
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors and internal stakeholders to facilitate testing activities, ensuring findings are validated, documented, and tracked through remediation.
  • Assist in translating testing outcomes into actionable recommendations to improve security controls and system architecture.
  • Participate in red team exercises to simulate advanced threat scenarios and support evaluation of detection and response capabilities alongside MSSP and SOC teams.
  • Contribute to purple team engagements by helping enhance detection rules, response playbooks, and overall defensive posture.
  • Document and communicate identified gaps, attack paths, and improvement opportunities to relevant stakeholders

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations or related technical roles.
  • Practical experience with vulnerability management tools and penetration testing practices.
  • Hands-on exposure to vulnerability management and/or threat-led testing activities (e.g., supporting red/purple team exercises).
  • Familiarity with security frameworks and standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls, and MITRE ATT&CK.
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred Certifications

  • Security +, CISM, or CRISC
  • OSCP or other offensive security certifications are a plus

  • Strong analytical and risk assessment capabilities
  • Ability to translate technical findings into business risk language
  • Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration
