About the Job

On behalf of our client, a premier global digital services ecosystem, we are seeking a highly motivated and automation-driven Cyber Security Engineer-Cloud SecOps (Mid-Level) to join an expansive global cybersecurity defense initiative.

Unlike traditional operational roles, this position focuses heavily on engineering security directly into core platforms and cloud infrastructure. Acting as a primary designer for scalable security solutions, the successful candidate will establish automated security guardrails within cloud environments and CI/CD pipelines. The mission is to eliminate manual security bottlenecks by developing custom tooling and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) solutions, empowering product engineering teams to ship code securely at scale.

What You Will Be Doing

• Develop automated security solutions to seamlessly integrate security checks directly into the developer workflow and eliminate manual friction.
• Design and implement secure, scalable cloud infrastructure, ensuring security is completely embedded via Terraform and policy-as-code frameworks.
• Build and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines, integrating automated SAST, DAST, SCA, and container security scanning tools.
• Define and enforce robust security standards for Docker and Kubernetes environments, including runtime protection and image scanning.
• Develop automated scripts and workflows to identify, prioritize, and remediate vulnerabilities across a global cloud footprint.
• Build custom integrations between various security tools (e.g., network scanners, ASM, EDR) to provide real-time security observability for engineering teams.
• Act as a security subject matter expert, guiding development teams on secure coding patterns, cloud-native security best practices, and high-performance engineering solutions.

What We Need To See

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, alongside 5+ years of professional experience spanning software engineering, cloud engineering, or security engineering.
• Strong programming proficiency in one or more languages (such as Python, Java, Go, C#, PHP, or JavaScript) specifically applied to automation, scripting, and custom tool development.
• Direct, hands-on experience securing multi-cloud environments (Google Cloud, AWS, and Azure).
• Proven expertise in Docker and Kubernetes orchestration and security configurations.
• Deep technical expertise using Terraform for automated infrastructure provisioning.
• A strict "Security as Code" mindset, viewing manual tasks as an automation failure and striving to build self-service security capabilities.
• Advanced business-level English proficiency with the ability to articulate complex engineering concepts to diverse technical and business stakeholders (Japanese language capability is not required).

Ways To Stand Out From The Crowd

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• Deep experience deploying, tuning, and scaling enterprise scanning tools, network scanners, Attack Surface Management (ASM), and Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) platforms.
• Comprehensive understanding of cloud-native security solutions such as CSPM, CWPP, and CIEM.
• A solid understanding of the intersection between DevOps and SecOps, with a track record of building high-velocity, secure engineering cultures.
• Relevant cloud and security certifications such as CKS (Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist), Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer, OSCP, or OSWE.
• Proficiency in business-level Japanese is a strong plus.
