About the Role

An Application Deployment & Support Engineer position is available within a growing software company delivering a proprietary ERP/web application to clients across the mining and oil & gas sectors.

This role offers broad exposure across application deployments, environment management, release activities, technical support and AI integration initiatives, making it an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working across both deployment and support in a collaborative technical environment.

The role focuses on deploying and upgrading client environments, managing Development, Test and Production environments, troubleshooting issues and supporting ongoing software releases while working closely with both the development and implementation teams.

You Should Have

3–5 years of relevant commercial experience

Experience deploying and supporting web applications

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently and take ownership

Collaborative working style

Technical Requirements

Must Have

Web application deployment and upgrade experience

Apache Tomcat experience

Previous L1/L2 application support experience

Experience reading application logs and troubleshooting issues

Experience using browser debugging tools

Strong understanding of how web applications function

Nice to Have

Windows Server experience

Proxy configuration knowledge

SQL scripting knowledge

JSON understanding

Automation experience

Power BI deployment or reporting experience

AI tooling exposure

Key Responsibilities

Deploy application releases across client environments

Perform client application upgrades

Manage Development, Test and Production environments

Provide L1/L2 application support

Troubleshoot issues using logs and browser debugging tools

Coordinate with developers on releases and fixes

Test deployments before production rollout

Maintain deployment documentation and system records

Update support tickets and deployment records

Working Arrangements

Office based near Perth CBD with parking

First six months working five days per week in the office

Potential for one day working from home following onboarding

Salary & Benefits

Up to $110,000 + super
