IAM Engineer
Fully remote
12+ month contract – Long term project
Rate: Dependent on experience (our client is open to discussing)
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, configure, and implement IAM solutions using ForgeRock and/or Ping Identity technologies.
- Develop custom integrations, workflows, authentication journeys, and identity lifecycle processes.
- Configure and manage Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Federation, and Identity Governance solutions.
- Integrate IAM platforms with enterprise applications, cloud services, APIs, and directories.
- Develop and maintain custom code, scripts, connectors, and REST API integrations.
- Participate in solution architecture, technical design workshops, and implementation planning.
- Support identity provisioning, deprovisioning, role management, and access certification processes.
- Troubleshoot complex IAM issues and provide root cause analysis and remediation.
- Collaborate with Cyber Security, Infrastructure, Cloud, and Application Development teams to ensure secure identity management practices.
- Produce technical documentation, implementation guides, and operational procedures.
- Participate in system upgrades, migrations, patching activities, and platform optimisation initiatives.
- Ensure solutions align with security policies, compliance requirements, and industry best practices.
Required Skills & Experience
- 3+ years of hands-on experience implementing and supporting ForgeRock and/or Ping Identity solutions.
- Strong experience with either:
- ForgeRock Access Management (AM)
- ForgeRock Identity Management (IDM)
- ForgeRock Directory Services (DS)
- PingFederate
- PingOne
- PingAccess
- PingDirectory
- Experience designing and implementing SSO, MFA, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), SAML 2.0, and Federation solutions.
- Strong software development experience using Java, JavaScript, Groovy, or similar programming languages.
- Experience developing RESTful APIs and integrating enterprise applications.
- Knowledge of LDAP, Active Directory, Azure AD, and identity synchronization concepts.
- Experience working within cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, Git, Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
