IAM Engineer

Fully remote

12+ month contract – Long term project

Rate: Dependent on experience (our client is open to discussing)


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, configure, and implement IAM solutions using ForgeRock and/or Ping Identity technologies.
  • Develop custom integrations, workflows, authentication journeys, and identity lifecycle processes.
  • Configure and manage Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Federation, and Identity Governance solutions.
  • Integrate IAM platforms with enterprise applications, cloud services, APIs, and directories.
  • Develop and maintain custom code, scripts, connectors, and REST API integrations.
  • Participate in solution architecture, technical design workshops, and implementation planning.
  • Support identity provisioning, deprovisioning, role management, and access certification processes.
  • Troubleshoot complex IAM issues and provide root cause analysis and remediation.
  • Collaborate with Cyber Security, Infrastructure, Cloud, and Application Development teams to ensure secure identity management practices.
  • Produce technical documentation, implementation guides, and operational procedures.
  • Participate in system upgrades, migrations, patching activities, and platform optimisation initiatives.
  • Ensure solutions align with security policies, compliance requirements, and industry best practices.


Required Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience implementing and supporting ForgeRock and/or Ping Identity solutions.
  • Strong experience with either:
  • ForgeRock Access Management (AM)
  • ForgeRock Identity Management (IDM)
  • ForgeRock Directory Services (DS)
  • PingFederate
  • PingOne
  • PingAccess
  • PingDirectory
  • Experience designing and implementing SSO, MFA, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), SAML 2.0, and Federation solutions.
  • Strong software development experience using Java, JavaScript, Groovy, or similar programming languages.
  • Experience developing RESTful APIs and integrating enterprise applications.
  • Knowledge of LDAP, Active Directory, Azure AD, and identity synchronization concepts.
  • Experience working within cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, Git, Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
