Global OT Security Expert (M/F)

Our client in the industrial sector is seeking to integrate a Global OT Security Expert (M/F) into its internal team, based in Coimbra or Cantanhede.
Role:
· Define and drive the global OT security strategy, roadmap, and target architecture;
· Establish and maintain global OT security standards, policies, and governance frameworks;
· Lead global OT security programs and initiatives (e.g., IEC 62443 implementation, network segmentation, zero trust concepts);
· Manage international projects including planning, prioritization, budgeting, and stakeholder alignment;
· Act as Product Owner for key OT security solutions (e.g., monitoring, remote access, asset visibility);
· Evaluate, select, and roll out OT security technologies across global production sites;
· Advise plants, engineering teams, and senior stakeholders on OT security topics and risk mitigation;
· Ensure consistent implementation of global security standards across all sites;
· Conduct and coordinate risk assessments, audits, and compliance activities;
· Support incident response and contribute to improving OT cyber resilience;
· Drive security-by-design in digitalization and Industry 4.0 initiatives;
· Monitor technology trends and emerging threats in OT and IIoT environments.
Requirements:
· Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Automation, or comparable qualification;
· Minimum 5 years of experience in OT Security, Industrial Cyber Security or related projects;
· Strong knowledge of OT security standards and frameworks (IEC 62443, NIST CSF, ISO 2700x);
· Experience with industrial environments (ICS/SCADA/PLC systems);
· Proven experience in international project or program management;
· Strong stakeholder management skills across business, IT, and engineering;
· Solid understanding of risk assessment methodologies;
· Knowledge of IT/OT convergence, IIoT, and IT/OT network infrastructure;
· Fluent English (written and spoken);
· Strong communication and problem-solving skills;
· High level of initiative and ability to work in complex, global environments;
· Willingness to travel internationally.
