Role Overview
We are looking for a Confirmed Cybersecurity Architect to design, secure, and support cloud‑based infrastructures and services in a complex, large‑scale environment.
The consultant will act as a trusted security architecture expert, ensuring that cloud platforms built on AWS and/or Microsoft Azure are secure‑by‑design, compliant, resilient, and fit for regulated and high‑security contexts.
This role sits at the intersection of cloud architecture, cybersecurity, and DevSecOps, working closely with engineering, operations, and security teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and maintain secure cloud architectures on AWS and/or Azure
- Define and implement cloud security controls aligned with best practices, standards, and compliance requirements
- Translate business, security, and compliance requirements into secure technical architectures
- Support DevSecOps practices, including CI/CD security controls and Infrastructure‑as‑Code
- Contribute to identity and access management designs (IAM, RBAC, Zero Trust)
- Perform security architecture reviews, risk assessments, and threat modelling
- Support incident analysis, remediation strategies, and continuous security improvement
- Collaborate with cloud, infrastructure, and cybersecurity teams in an international environment
- Produce clear architectural documentation, security designs, and guidelines
- European Union nationality (EU-27)
- Fluent English (working language)
- Minimum 6 years of experience in Cybersecurity
- At least one recognised cybersecurity or cloud security certification, such as:
- CISSP, CISM, CCSP
- AWS Security / Solutions Architect certifications
- Azure Security Engineer / Architect certifications
- Proven experience as a Cloud Security Architect or in a similar role
- Strong expertise in AWS and/or Azure cloud security
- Solid understanding of network security, identity, encryption, logging, and monitoring
- Ability to work in a multicultural, international environment
- Eligible for EU security clearance
- Master’s degree in IT or Cybersecurity
- DevSecOps and CI/CD security (GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
- Infrastructure‑as‑Code (Terraform or equivalent)
- Container and orchestration security (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Security monitoring, logging, and SIEM integration
- Knowledge of regulatory or compliance frameworks
- Programming or scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work autonomously in operational contexts
- Clear technical communication and documentation skills
- Team-oriented mindset in international environments
- Risk-aware and security-focused approach
