The Role
We’re seeking an experienced Security Engineer to take full ownership of our security operations. In this role, you’ll embed security at every stage of our software lifecycle - design, build, deploy, and operate, while driving automation and best practices to keep our systems secure, scalable, and resilient
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain automated security controls and guardrails.
- Develop reusable security tooling to enforce security at scale.
- Lead and automate security processes across AWS, Kubernetes, and cloud-native environments.
- Integrate security into CI/CD pipelines and development workflows.
- Manage vulnerability scanning, continuous monitoring, and incident response, with a strong focus on automation and signal quality.
- Lead and facilitate tabletop exercises to assess incident readiness, validate response plans, and continuously improve response capabilities.
- Collaborate with DevOps & Engineering to build secure systems.
- Continuously evaluate emerging security tools, threats, and compliance requirements, translating them into automated controls where possible.
This role will be a great fit if you have
- 5+ years in a DevSecOps or Security Engineering position.
- An excellent level of Italian and English.
- Deep understanding of cybersecurity practices, such as vulnerability management, code review, threat modeling, and modern security toolsets.
- Strong AWS skills (EKS, ECR, Route53, RDS, IAM, VPC, etc.).
- Programming skills in at least one general-purpose language (e.g., Python, Go), with the ability to design, build, and maintain automation and security tooling.
- Track record of integrating security into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, ArgoCD, etc).
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform).
- Hands-on with SIEM platforms for monitoring and automated response.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
We would also appreciate
- Participation in bug bounty programs, CTF competitions, or public contributions such as security research, blog posts, advisories, or vulnerability disclosures.
- Experience with Datadog and Firewalls.
- Experience with security audits and compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, etc.).
- Security certifications (e.g., CKS, OSCP, AWS Security Specialty).

Interview Process
Candidates can expect the following steps in our interview process:
- HR Introductory Call (15 minutes): a brief phone call with HR to provide an overview of the company and the role, as well as to gain insight into your experience and background
- HR Video Interview (45 minutes): A more in-depth virtual interview with HR to explore the topics discussed in the phone call and further assess your fit for the role
- Technical Interview with Hiring Manager (1 hour): a virtual video interview focused on the technical aspects of the role, where the hiring manager will dive into your specific skills and experience
- Interview with Head of Department/other key individuals (45 minutes): an interview with the Head of Department or other key individuals relevant to the role, such as team members or colleagues from other departments.
- Offer: after completing the interview process, successful candidates will receive an offer.
Typical base salary pay range: EUR 50-55k
