Summary Of The Role
We are seeking a skilled Network Security Engineer to design, implement, and maintain secure network infrastructures that protect our organization from cyber threats. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in network security protocols, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and vulnerability management. This role requires proactive monitoring, risk assessment, and collaboration with IT teams to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of our data.
About The Job
- Network Security Design & Implementation: Develop and maintain secure network and zero trust architectures, including firewalls, VPNs, Network Access Control, and intrusion prevention systems (FortiGate, Zscaler, Aruba, etc). In-depth knowledge of network protocols, architectures, devices, infrastructure, application transport, and WAN/LAN/WLAN/SDWAN topologies.
- Network Administration: Work closely with Network Engineering team on maintenance and troubleshooting of network performance. Perform configuration changes and updates on network security tools and assist with operational procedures.
- Threat Detection & Response: Monitor network traffic for suspicious activity using network auditing and policy orchestration tools (Tufin, Firemon, FortiManager, etc), investigate security incidents, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular security assessments, penetration testing, and patch management to address vulnerabilities. Identify vulnerabilities and conduct penetration testing.
- Security Policy Development: Establish and enforce security policies, procedures, and best practices to protect company assets. Research and stay up to date with the latest security standards, systems, and authentication protocols.
- Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, CIS, GDPR) and regulatory requirements. Provide technical advice on network security issues to staff and management.
- Incident Response & Recovery: Develop and execute incident response plans, including forensic analysis and post-incident reporting. Respond to, investigate, and resolve security incidents and breaches.
- Proven work experience as a Network Security Engineer or similar role in network administration
- Knowledge and experience with networking concepts and terminology, TCP/IP, HTTP protocols and VPNs
- Proficiency in network security systems and tools (e.g., firewalls, intrusion detection systems)
- Experience with LAN, WAN, WLAN, and WWAN design and implementation
- Effective communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced, security-sensitive environments
- Collaboration and teamwork across IT security domains
