Your mission:
Are you ready to be the shield and the sword for a dynamic, growing group? We're looking for a technically strong and people-oriented professional to help define, implement, and evolve our information security strategy. This is a high-impact, cross-functional role where you'll grow alongside the business: protecting our assets, ensuring operations run smoothly, and staying ahead of an ever-evolving threat landscape. You'll be a central security reference, collaborating with every team, top-tier vendors, and external security entities.
What you'll do:
- Drive the Security Domain: You'll lead the Cybersecurity area, ensuring our security strategy is aligned with business goals and the IT Director's vision.
- Develop the Team: Support the recruitment, mentoring, and growth of the security team. You'll help build a strong security-first culture across the entire Group.
- Contribute to Strategy: Collaborate with the IT Director to shape future projects and security investments, driving continuous improvement in our security posture.
- Defend & Respond: Monitor and manage asset-related risks to guarantee our information is confidential, integrated, and available 24/7.
- Threat Hunter: Coordinate threat intelligence gathering, implement mitigation steps, and manage security incidents and emergencies — including regular testing of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Guardrail Creator: Ensure compliance with local and international laws, best practices, and regulations. Develop and maintain clear, effective security policies and procedures.
- Tech Implementer: Design, deploy, and manage security solutions that are both protective and practical. You'll work with core tools like SIEM and vulnerability scanners across the full risk lifecycle.
- External Networker: Maintain relationships with SOCs, suppliers, and security entities, and support security awareness and training across the Group.
What you should bring:
- A degree in Computer Engineering, Networks, or a similar field;
- Specialized technical training in Cybersecurity;
- Key Certifications (or equivalent mastery):
- Cisco (CCNP or higher)
- Fortinet NSE (PCP or higher)
- Splunk (Cybersecurity Defense Analyst or Enterprise Security Certified Admin)
- Proven skills in Penetration Testing / Ethical Hacking
- Expertise in Operating System security at the administration level (Windows and Linux)
- Solid hands-on experience with SIEM, vulnerability management, and other security platforms;
- Experience leading or mentoring others, with a genuine interest in growing as a people leader;
- Good knowledge of risk management, incident response, and information security best practices;
- Experience contributing to or implementing security policies and controls;
- The ability to communicate complex issues clearly to both technical teams and business stakeholders;
- A sense of ownership and the confidence to take initiative and make informed decisions;
- Exposure to regulated industries and security audits is a plus;
- A proactive mindset: you think ahead and flag risks before they become problems.
What we offer:
- Join a stable, growing group with significant local and global impact;
- A highly visible role with strategic responsibility and genuine autonomy;
- Work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment obsessed with innovation;
- Directly shape the Group’s entire cybersecurity future;
- Main office in Matosinhos, with occasional travel abroad to visit other sites of the company.
