Summary
The Archer / Applications Engineer provides engineering and development support for the Archer GRC platform, focusing on system configuration, performance, and issue resolution. This role partners with business and technology teams to deliver solutions of low to moderate complexity, maintain platform stability, and support ongoing enhancements. The position works independently on assigned tasks, meets defined service levels, and escalates complex or ambiguous issues as needed.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Configure and troubleshoot calculations, data feeds, workflows (including Advanced Workflow), Data Driven Events (DDEs), and access/security
- Support testing, deployments, and validation across Dev, UAT, and Production environments
- Troubleshoot data integrity, automation, performance, and system behavior issues to resolve incidents and requests within established application support SLAs
- Partner with business teams to clarify requirements, support solution delivery, provide user training and knowledge transfer, promote Archer adoption, and contribute to cross-functional continuous improvement efforts.
- Engage with vendors and internal teams to resolve issues and support platform improvements
Qualifications
Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in technology-related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3–5 years of application support, development, or engineering experience
- Hands-on experience configuring enterprise applications (Archer preferred)
- Archer Certified Associate
- Archer Certified Administrator (Specialist or Expert)
- Working knowledge of workflow configuration, calculations, data feeds, data structures, and role-based access/security
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues independently
- Experience in Risk, Compliance, or Audit domains
- Familiarity with integrations or APIs
- Ability to communicate in person, on the phone, and through electronic channels
- Ability to use a computer on a frequent basis, including typing and sustained attention to a monitor
- Ability to sit, walk, and/or stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to bend and reach
- Office: If the position reports to a physical Company location, the setting will be a typical office environment.
- Remote or hybrid: For remote or hybrid positions, a secure and distraction-free setting is required, with a reliable internet connection (cable or fiber preferred, mobile hotspots not acceptable). Hybrid positions will report to a physical Company location, as directed by the manager, and that setting will be a typical office environment.
