- Linux and Windows Experience and Knowledge

- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Security Clearance at the Secret level.
- This position will require the ability to travel
- Security+ or equivalent DoD 8570 certification
The Work
Responsibilities
As a Cyber Systems Security Engineer, you will play a vital role in securing the backbone of mission-critical systems. Your responsibilities will include:
Designing and developing cybersecurity solutions that span the entire system lifecycle, from initial planning to final validation.
Conducting risk assessments, including threat modeling and vulnerability analysis, to evaluate and address potential security gaps.
Collaborating with engineers and system architects to analyze and resolve cybersecurity trade-offs and system design constraints.
Performing cybersecurity testing to validate that hardware and software designs meet security requirements.
Employing proven cybersecurity methodologies, processes, and tools, ensuring consistent application across projects.
Supporting assessment and authorization activities to ensure compliance with required cybersecurity standards.
Please Note
This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain DoD government security clearance at the Secret level.

- NIST 800.53 Experience and Knowledge
- Patch/IAVM Management/Deployment
- Experience using Nessus/ACAS – Assured Compliance Assessment Solution or other vulnerability scanning tools
- Experience with network administration
- Experience with Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)
- Containerization (Docker) and orchestration basics (Kubernetes, ECS)
- Understanding of CI/CD
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work remotely
Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
