Security Architect

We're looking for an experienced Security Architect to join a high-performing cyber security team responsible for securing large-scale enterprise technology environments. This is an opportunity to influence strategic technology decisions, work with senior stakeholders, and design secure solutions across complex digital transformation initiatives.

The Opportunity

As a Security Architect, you'll play a key role in embedding security into technology initiatives by providing architectural guidance, identifying security risks, and designing practical solutions that balance business and security outcomes.

You'll work closely with technology leaders, architects, engineers and project teams to ensure security is considered throughout the solution lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert security architecture guidance across major technology initiatives.
• Design secure solution architectures and identify threats, vulnerabilities and appropriate security controls.
• Conduct security risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Influence architectural decisions and governance with senior stakeholders.
• Develop and enhance enterprise security patterns, standards and reference architectures.
• Mentor technical teams on security best practices and risk management.
• Support projects by delivering high-quality security outcomes within agreed timeframes.
• Drive continuous improvement across security architecture processes and frameworks.

About You

You'll bring either:

• 7+ years' experience in Security Architecture, or
• 10+ years' experience in Solution Architecture with significant exposure to cyber security.

You'll also have experience in one or more of the following areas:

Cyber Defence

• SIEM
• UEBA
• SOAR
• Security Incident Response
• Cloud Security (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS)
• Threat Detection & Response

Identity & Access Management

• Customer or Workforce IAM
• Authentication & Authorisation
• Identity Governance & Administration
• Privileged Access Management (PAM)
• Directory Services
• Zero Trust
• Secrets Management
• Identity Lifecycle Management

You'll also have exposure to several of the following:

• DevSecOps
• Cloud Platforms
• Application Security
• Network Security
• Data Protection
• Vulnerability Management
• Containerisation
• Microservices

Desirable

• CISSP, CCSP or equivalent security certifications
• SABSA, Cloud Security or architecture certifications
• Experience working within complex enterprise environments
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related discipline
