Job Description – Offensive Security Project Manager

1. Position Overview

Job Title: Offensive Security Project Manager

Division: Group Security

Reports To: Manager, Penetration Testing

2. Role Purpose

This role supports the Offensive Security function's testing streams to ensure the successful delivery of security testing outcomes across the organization and enables Group Security to achieve its strategic objectives.

3. Key Responsibilities (Accountabilities)

• Define and maintain a penetration testing program covering new, changed, and existing systems.
• Define penetration testing scope and objectives and manage delivery plans.
• Support the Manager, Penetration Testing in resource allocation and prioritization activities.
• Provide guidance and consultation to internal stakeholders regarding penetration testing and security testing requirements.
• Collaborate in developing reports that help stakeholders understand security control effectiveness and vulnerability exposure.

4. Key Decision Areas

• Prioritize work across the organization to achieve optimal security outcomes.
• Define testing scopes aligned with regulatory requirements and threat-led testing approaches.

5. Key Stakeholders / Interfaces

• Asset and Service Teams.
• Senior stakeholders across Technology & Enterprise Operations (Head of Department and General Manager levels).

6. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Ability to define penetration testing scope across various activities.
• Delivery of penetration testing engagements in accordance with SLA requirements.
• Process improvements that increase efficiency and effectiveness.
• Successful coordination and execution of penetration testing programs.
• Clear, accurate, and comprehensive reporting.

7. Required Skills & Capabilities

Core Skills

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within teams.
• Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.

Technical Capabilities

• Experience coordinating technical and security teams.
• Understanding of security frameworks (e.g., NIST).
• Knowledge of security testing methodologies and risk management principles.

8. Experience Requirements

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in enterprise security roles.
• 10+ years of experience in Software Development.
• 3+ years of project or program delivery experience.

9. Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Project delivery certification (e.g., Agile, Prince2).

Preferred

• Security certifications such as:
• CISSP
• CISM
