Security Tester / Penetration Tester (Automotive & IoT) (f/m/d)

We are looking for a talented and passionate Security Tester / Penetration Tester to join our team on innovative cybersecurity projects in the Automotive and IoT domains.

Responsibilities

• Perform systematic penetration testing activities, primarily in Automotive and IoT environments
• Design and execute attacks on target systems, covering communication interfaces, software, and hardware components
• Analyze, interpret, and document security findings, providing actionable remediation recommendations
• Develop tools and scripts to automate testing activities and improve attack reproducibility
• Contribute to the development of new security testing methodologies, attack techniques, and internal tools
• Conduct vulnerability assessments, security reviews, and fuzzing activities on embedded and connected systems
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams and customers to improve the security posture of products and platforms
• Support functional security testing activities across different technology domains
• Participate in technical investigations involving communication protocols, devices, and connected ecosystems

Required Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, Telecommunications, or a related field
• Experience in Penetration Testing, Security Testing, Vulnerability Assessment, or Offensive Security
• Knowledge of software and/or hardware security testing methodologies
• Familiarity with communication interfaces and technologies such as:
• USB
• Bluetooth
• Wi-Fi
• Cellular/Mobile Networks
• Understanding of common penetration testing tools and frameworks
• Programming skills in Python and/or C
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Curiosity, creativity, and a hands-on "hacker/maker" mindset
• Ability to work independently and interact directly with customers
• Professional level of English

Nice-to-Have

• Experience in Automotive Cybersecurity
• Knowledge of automotive electronics and vehicle communication networks (CAN, LIN, Ethernet, UDS, etc.)
• Experience with IoT Security Testing
• Fuzzing and Vulnerability Research experience
• Reverse Engineering and Firmware Analysis knowledge
• Understanding of Cryptography and Secure Communication mechanisms
• Experience with Backend Security Testing (Servers, Networks, APIs)
• Knowledge of Embedded Systems and Embedded Linux
• Familiarity with AUTOSAR, ISO/SAE 21434, or UNECE R155
• Experience with scripting or additional programming languages such as Java or Assembly
• German language skills are a plus
