Senior Information Security Engineer

I'm partnering with one of the world's leading quantitative trading firms to hire a Senior Information Security Engineer into its globally recognised security engineering team.

This isn't a SOC or Incident response role. It's an engineering role.

If your day is primarily spent monitoring alerts, triaging incidents and following runbooks, this isn't the right fit.

The team is looking for engineers who write code, build automation, integrate security tooling and build security capabilities that scale. They want people who naturally look for inefficiencies, automate repetitive work and solve engineering problems rather than manually operating security tools.

Security is treated as an engineering discipline here. You'll work across AWS, Microsoft 365, identity, enterprise infrastructure and security platforms, building internal tooling, improving detections, strengthening cloud security and reducing operational overhead through automation.

You'll be joining a business where technology sits at the heart of everything they do. You'll work alongside exceptionally strong engineers who enjoy solving difficult problems, challenging conventional thinking and building high-quality systems. The expectation is high, but so is the opportunity to make a genuine technical impact.

You'll ideally have experience with:

• Security engineering, DevSecOps or infrastructure security
• Python and/or PowerShell scripting and automation
• AWS security, including IAM, GuardDuty, CloudTrail, Security Hub and Config
• Microsoft 365 security, including Entra ID, Defender, Conditional Access and PIM
• Security tooling, API integrations and workflow automation
• Detection engineering, vulnerability management and security operations improvements
• Windows and Linux security
• Identity and access management
• Enterprise networking fundamentals
