Architect EL5 Application Delivery & Edge Security Engineer Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Application Delivery & Edge Security Engineer to support and optimize enterprise application delivery, WAF, CDN, and edge security platforms across cloud and on-prem environments. The role involves hands-on engineering, troubleshooting, operational support, and platform modernization.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure, maintain, and support F5, A10, Cloudflare, Akamai, WAF, and CDN platforms.
• Support application onboarding, migrations, traffic management, and edge security implementations.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, TLS/SSL, routing, switching, and application security layers.
• Partner with infrastructure, security, and application teams to ensure secure and reliable service delivery.
• Participate in on-call support, incident response, maintenance activities, and SLA-driven operations.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and audit artifacts.
• Support security assessments, compliance activities, and remediation efforts.
• Contribute to automation and operational efficiency initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with application delivery and edge security platforms such as F5, A10, AVI, Citrix, Cloudflare, Akamai, and WAF technologies.
• Strong knowledge of HTTP/HTTPS, TLS/SSL, DNS, routing, switching, CDN, and OWASP security concepts.
• Experience supporting cloud-native applications in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong troubleshooting, operational support, and communication skills.
• Scripting/automation experience with Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar tools is a plus.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with automation, IaC, and CI/CD.
• Exposure to enterprise monitoring and observability tools.
• Relevant cloud or security certifications preferred.

AI Tool Usage Requirement

Candidates are expected to demonstrate baseline proficiency with enterprise-approved AI tools and maintain consistent usage as part of daily responsibilities.
