Sr. Specialist - Information Security

As a Senior Specialist on our Information Security Team, you'll play a critical role in protecting Nasdaq's platforms and systems by discovering security vulnerabilities and delivering security solutions across our software development and infrastructure environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct security assessments, penetration tests, red team exercises and risk evaluations across systems, networks, and applications of varying complexity.
  • Detect security vulnerabilities and help design and maintain security aspect of the solutions across new and existing applications, systems architecture, and continuous integration and delivery pipelines.
  • Identify and remediate complex system vulnerabilities — including web application threats, malicious code, and network-level exposures — across applications.
  • Leverage AI tools to enhance team productivity and evaluate emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement in security practices.
  • Prepare security risk analysis reports and develop response procedures to support informed decision-making across the organization.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Active certification from a recognized security body (e.g., SANS, OffSec, or ISC2).
  • 5+ years of experience in application security, information security, or a related discipline.
  • Proven ability to analyze complex system vulnerabilities and develop effective technical remediation strategies.
  • Strong understanding of web application security threats and secure software development practice.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working across cross-functional teams including technology, compliance, and risk.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based environments and modern application development practices.
  • Track record of integrating security practices within agile or continuous delivery workflow

This position will be located in Philadelphia and offers the opportunity for a hybrid work environment at least 3 days a week in-office, subject to change, providing flexibility and accessibility for qualified candidates.
