The Role
We're looking for a security engineer to build the systems and practices that keep our platform and our customers' data safe. Our AI agents handle sensitive customer interactions at scale, which means security isn't a side concern here. It's core to the product.
This is a hands-on engineering role, not a compliance-checklist role. You'll write code, build tooling, and design systems while also shaping how the rest of the team thinks about security. You'll be the person who makes it easy to build things securely, not the person who slows everyone down.
What You'll Work On
A few examples from our current priorities:
- Application security: Securing the platform end-to-end, from the APIs our customers use to configure agents to the systems that handle real-time conversations and customer data
- Access controls and authorization: Building role-based access controls, permissions models, and audit logging so our enterprise customers can manage their teams with confidence
- Security tooling and automation: Building the infrastructure for vulnerability scanning, dependency auditing, secrets management, and automated detection so security scales with the team
Tech Stack
- Backend: Python (Django/FastAPI), TypeScript (Node.js)
- Infrastructure: AWS, Modal, Kubernetes, Postgres
- Tooling: Terraform, Docker, CI/CD pipelines
- Have 4+ years of experience in security engineering, with a strong software engineering foundation
- Have secured production systems handling sensitive data and understand the difference between theoretical risks and real ones
- Can write production-quality code, not just review it: you'll build security tooling and features, not just file tickets
- Think about security as an enabler, not a blocker: you make it easy for other engineers to do the right thing
- Are comfortable across application security, infrastructure security, and cloud security
- Are excited about the unique security challenges of AI agents: prompt injection, data leakage, and problems that don't have established playbooks yet
- Catered lunch daily
- Dinner stipend
- $150/month wellness benefit (gym, fitness classes, mental health)
- 401(k) plan
- Commuter benefits
- Medical, dental, and vision coverage
Compensation Range: $210K - $350K
