What do we do?
Volkswagen Financial Services Porto is a VWFS IT hub, and the first outside Germany. Here we will establish a long-term Business & IT company of 150+ FTE. Our primary goal is to service all European markets in implementing and maintaining contract management systems. Our focus is on: Core systems, satellite systems (such as document management systems, collection systems) but also extends to integrations, data, and large project organizations. For this we seek a hands-on Platform Engineer.
Objectives:
As Technical Application Manager you have the technical responsibility for one or more of our core applications. This responsibility includes but is not limited to the stability, security, compliance and documentation of our IT Applications with the standards of our IT process house. As the first technical contact for our internal customers you are working closely with our technical experts, governance team and vendors to ensure the reliable delivery of all technical parts of the application. Proactive regular improvements are being implemented on application and process level to stay state-of-the-art in service delivery.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Technical Application Management for one or more of our core applications
- Main technical contact person for the internal customers of your application(s)
- Evaluate new requirements towards your application together with customers and all involved expert teams
- Maintain technical application documentation across the application lifecycle and contribute to the management of ISMS policies
- Ensure the end2end optimization of the support processes for the applications (incident, problem, change, release)
- Manage penetration tests, assessments and security findings fixes
- Coordinate and align with Solution Architects on the implementation of security measures and other requirements
- Align, track and review service levels, technical requirements and costs together with the markets, internal service providers and external vendors
- Supporting internal and external audits
- Contribute to company infrastructure and security assessments, including operational tasks automation
- Participate in the security risk register, design, and work with other teams to implement action plans to mitigate risks where appropriate
- Monitor logging and event systems, following up on alerts as appropriate.
- Consult and align with the Project Managers about the rollout of the Software and ensure the necessary project support
We believe that the right profile for this job should have / be:
- Bachelor or Master degree in informatics or comparable degree
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT Service Delivery, Application Security or related areas
- Knowledge on the controls from best practices frameworks, such as CobIT, ITIL, ISO IEC/IEC 27001, PS951 – Certification on these frameworks will be differential
- Knowledge in web-based system architectures
- Good communication skills, high level of self-responsibility, self-initiative and the ability to interact efficiently.
- Experience in working in an international team/ project team
- Results-oriented and with a team-player attitude
- Strong analytical and structural competence and ability to organize him-/herself independently.
- High degree of initiative, responsibility, assertiveness and willingness to travel
- Speaks & writes English fluently
