OT Security Engineer (m/f/d)

Are you an experienced OT Engineer with a passion for cybersecurity and a desire to protect critical production systems?

We are seeking an OT Security Site Engineer to strengthen the security posture across our manufacturing facilities. In this hybrid role, you will combine your operational technology expertise with a strong focus on OT-Security, ensuring that our local production environments remain both efficient and secure.

You will act as the primary OT-Security contact for site Nienburg and site Pohlheim working closely with the Automations Department and the centralized Cybersecurity department to detect, assess, and respond to potential threats and manage risk. This is an ideal opportunity for an engineer who enjoys both automation technology and the growing field of industrial cybersecurity.

You will act as the primary OT Security contact for both Nienburg and Pohlheim, with Nienburg as the main site of operation and periodic on-site support at Pohlheim.

In this role you’ll make an impact by:

• Roll-out of OT security initiatives
• Manage the OT assets inventory and vulnerabilities
• Documentation of systems
• Support daily operation of OT systems
• Serves as primary contact on site to Novonesis Cyber Defense Center

• Degree or equivalent experience in: Automation Engineering/Control Systems Engineering/Industrial Engineering or a related field
• 4–6 years of hands-on experience with OT / industrial control systems
• Solid understanding of industrial automation and process control environments &OT cybersecurity fundamentals
• Knowledge of relevant standards and regulations, including: IEC 62443 & NIS2 Directive
• Fluent English required; German language skills are a plus
