Lead Software Engineer

We're hiring on behalf of a Haystack partner!

The Role

• Lead the Security team within Ambulatory Engineering Architecture.
• Define and drive security architecture, standards, and best practices across the portfolio.
• Responsible for end-to-end security architecture, ensuring consistent application in desktop and cloud product lines.
• Qualify engineering teams in security topics through workshops, code review clinics, and hands-on coaching.
• Manage cross-product vulnerability management, including triage, prioritization, and resolution.
• Integrate security deeply into automated development processes (SAST, DAST, SCA, Secret Scanning, IaC, Container Scanning).

What You'll Need

• Several years of experience in Security Engineering or Security Architecture with proven leadership.
• Completed degree in Computer Science, IT Security, Software Engineering, or a comparable technical field.
• Deep knowledge in application security, cloud security, and Secure SDLC.
• Experience embedding security tooling (SAST/DAST/SCA, IaC, Container Scanning, Secret Scans) into CI/CD pipelines.
• Proven effective use of AI in security workflows, preferably with Claude Code or similar agentic tools.
• Fluent in German and English, strong problem-solving skills, innovation, proactivity, and an entrepreneurial mindset.
