Our client, a leading global technology organisation, is looking for an Associate Technical Product Owner to join their Application Security team.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong analytical and organisational skills who is interested in cybersecurity, application security, and technical programme management. Working as part of a collaborative team, you'll help drive the success of a Security Champions Programme by supporting engineering teams, analysing programme performance, coordinating initiatives, and helping embed secure software development practices across the business. This role is ideal for someone looking to build a career in Application Security, Security Operations, Technical Product Ownership, or Cybersecurity Programme Management.
Responsibilities
- Support the day-to-day delivery and continuous improvement of the Security Champions Programme.
- Collect, analyse, and report on programme metrics, KPIs, and engagement data.
- Create dashboards and reports to provide meaningful insights to stakeholders.
- Manage programme documentation, trackers, and operational activities.
- Coordinate onboarding, communications, training sessions, and awareness initiatives.
- Work closely with security, engineering, and product teams to support secure development initiatives.
- Assist with backlog management, work prioritisation, and programme planning.
- Help promote secure development practices throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
- Identify opportunities to improve programme efficiency and operational processes.
- Produce clear documentation, reports, user guides, and knowledge base content.

Education details
Required Skills
- Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience analysing large datasets.
- Experience producing reports, dashboards, and performance metrics.
- Ability to identify trends and turn data into meaningful business insights.
- Experience using reporting and visualisation tools such as Power BI, Domo, or similar platforms.
- Good understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
- Basic understanding of application security concepts and secure software development practices.
- Awareness of common application security vulnerabilities, including the OWASP Top 10.
- Excellent organisational and project coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working collaboratively across engineering, security, and business teams.
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to application security tools or security reporting.
- Experience supporting security awareness or enablement programmes.
- Knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS) or training administration.
- Experience working in Agile environments and using Jira or Azure DevOps.
- An interest in developing a career in Application Security, Security Operations, or Technical Product Management.
Pay range and compensation package
12-month contract with potential for extension or longer-term opportunities.
