IT Security Engineer (Remediation expert)

Key Focus Areas – Platform Remediation Engineer (Windows/Linux/DBs)

• Hands-on experience in Windows, Linux, and Database vulnerability remediation and patch management.
• Identify, analyze, test, and apply security patches and remediation actions for identified CVEs.
• Collaborate with Vulnerability Management teams to determine appropriate remediation strategies.
• Perform patch testing and validation to ensure system stability and application compatibility before production deployment.
• Execute remediation activities in production environments and verify successful vulnerability closure.
• Troubleshoot non-compliant endpoints by collecting logs, performing root cause analysis, and resolving patching issues.
• Raise and manage support tickets with Microsoft/vendors for systems unable to receive or install patches.
• Prepare remediation status reports, track outstanding risks, and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
