Senior Lead Software Developer (CTO-Track)

We're hiring a software engineer at Aidion Health, and it's a big one. We are looking for a Senior Lead Software Developer who wants to build now and grow into the CTO position.

A bit about us:

Aidion Health builds accuracy-first Voice AI for healthcare. Our AI answers patient calls, schedules appointments, handles triage, and works with EHR systems around the clock, so clinical teams can focus on patients instead of phones. We're early-stage and founder-funded, moving fast, with real practices already relying on what we've built.

This role is for a builder at heart who is hungry for more. You will start hands-on in the code. Over time, as you earn it, you will shape how we build, mentor the team we grow, and step into the CTO seat. Your first 90 days are about depth, not heroics: understand our technology, our customers, and our mission well enough to lead from real understanding rather than assumptions.

What I'm looking for:

• 5+ years of full-stack experience, backend-weighted
• First hand experience in product lifecycle management
• Deep PostgreSQL and database design skills
• A strong grasp of LLMs, AI agents, and AI assistants
• Comfortable with workflow and automation tooling (n8n or similar)
• Voice AI experience is a plus, not a requirement; we will teach it
• Above all, an entrepreneurial, self-driven, catalytic person who thrives without guardrails, turns ideas into action without being asked, and lifts up everyone around them.

The honest part, because it matters:

• We're a startup with little hierarchy and a lot of freedom. If you want clearly defined lanes and a thick playbook, this is not the role. If that freedom sounds like a playground, keep reading.
• Cash is competitive - startup-realistic. The real upside is meaningful founding-level equity and a path toward the CTO role and additional ownership as you grow.
• Remote, but US-based only (Eastern Time preferred), and we gather in person regularly around Columbus, Ohio. We are not able to sponsor work visas.
