Role: Assistant Manager – Application Engineering

🎓 Qualification: B.E. / Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

💼 Experience: 10 – 14 Years

What We're Looking For

✔ Strong experience in providing technical support and application engineering for electro-mechanical products used in industrial applications.

✔ Prior exposure to Solenoid Valves, Pneumatic Products, or related industrial automation products will be an added advantage.

Hands-on experience in:

• Product selection and application support
• Material compatibility assessment
• Competitor product cross-referencing and equivalent product recommendations
• Resolving technical queries from Sales and Marketing teams
• ERP systems such as SAP or JDE
• Item Code creation and BOM configuration
• Professionals seeking long-term growth in Application Engineering and Technical Support domains.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand and support the complete range of Solenoid Valve, Coil, and Valve products.
• Create and maintain product configuration and string-building rules for standard and engineered products.
• Generate and manage Marketing Codes, Production Codes, Item Codes, and BOMs in SAP.
• Support extension and configuration of item codes across multiple group companies.
• Search and manage product drawings, 3D models, item codes, and BOMs through PDM and SAP systems.
• Resolve order booking and item code-related issues.
• Coordinate with IT/SAP teams for issue resolution and process improvements.
• Provide technical guidance to Sales and Marketing teams regarding product applications, features, options, material compatibility, and competitor product equivalents.
• Validate product selections using catalogues and automated selection tools.
• Recommend alternate solutions to meet customer requirements while minimising customisation requests.
• Develop and share application notes and technical documentation.
• Manage assigned Sales and Production Support requests effectively.
• Support SAP implementation and continuous improvement initiatives related to Item Codes and BOM management.
