Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8-12 years of software development experience.
• 2-4 years of experience in a technical leadership or lead engineering role.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with event-driven architectures and messaging platforms.
• Exposure to API Gateway, serverless services, or Infrastructure as Code.
• Strong experience in NestJS, Node.js, and TypeScript
• Experience with MongoDB database design and optimization
• Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud services
• Good understanding of Microservices Architecture and REST APIs
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with Git, Agile methodologies, and DevOps practices
• Knowledge of application security and API best practices
• Experience using Generative AI tools (e.g. Amazon Q, Bedrock, LangGraph) to improve development productivity and build AI-enabled solutions
• Familiarity with Prompt Engineering, AI-assisted development, and LLM integrations
• Insurance Domain Experience
• Good to have Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance domain.
• Good understanding of insurance processes such as Policy Administration, Quote & Bind, Underwriting, Claims, Billing, and Renewals.
• Experience integrating with insurance platforms or enterprise policy systems is an advantage.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable canonical model, data solution using NestJS and MongoDB
• Design and develop RESTful APIs and microservices for enterprise insurance applications.
• Able to design golden records, mapping, data lineage, ontology services using Mongo DB and NestJS.
• Build and optimize MongoDB data models and ensure application performance.
• Develop and deploy cloud-native solutions on AWS following best practices.
• Collaborate with architects, product owners, QA, and DevOps teams throughout the SDLC.
• Participate in solution design, code reviews, technical estimations, and architecture discussions.
• Mentor developers and promote engineering best practices, coding standards, and quality.
• Troubleshoot production issues and ensure application reliability, security, and scalability.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to understand insurance requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
