Third-Party Integrations Engineer

Description

We are looking for a hands-on engineer to build, connect, and test third-party integrations for an AI platform. This person will work on external API connections, OAuth flows, AI-accessible tools, workflow automation, and end-to-end integration testing.

The role is focused on making external services usable by AI agents in a secure and reliable way. The engineer should be able to connect providers, define safe tool inputs and outputs, test real user scenarios, handle API failures, and make sure each integration respects user permissions and data isolation.

Skills

•⁠ ⁠Strong TypeScript, JavaScript, or Python.

•⁠ ⁠Third-party API integration experience.

•⁠ ⁠OAuth 2.0 experience, including scopes, consent flows, refresh tokens, and token expiry.

•⁠ ⁠REST APIs, HTTP clients, JSON, webhooks, and API documentation.

•⁠ ⁠AI tool-calling, function calling, MCP, or agent-tool integration experience.

•⁠ ⁠JSON Schema-style tool input design and validation.

•⁠ ⁠Experience with integration platforms such as Nango, Pipedream, Zapier Platform, Workato, or similar tools.

•⁠ ⁠Experience with workflow automation tools such as n8n.

•⁠ ⁠Experience with providers such as Google Workspace, Slack, Notion, HubSpot, GitHub, Jira, Linear, Salesforce, or Microsoft 365.

•⁠ ⁠Ability to test integrations using sandbox accounts, test users, and production-like data.

•⁠ ⁠Debugging skills for auth failures, expired tokens, rate limits, pagination, malformed payloads, and provider-specific API errors.

•⁠ ⁠Understanding of user permissions, data isolation, audit logs, and least-privilege access.

•⁠ ⁠Backend API experience, preferably with FastAPI or similar frameworks.

•⁠ ⁠Redis, PostgreSQL, or event/state handling experience.

•⁠ ⁠SDK development experience in TypeScript or Python.

•⁠ ⁠Automated testing experience with pytest, TypeScript type checking, or integration test suites.

•⁠ ⁠Basic Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud deployment knowledge.
