About the role

We’re looking for a security-obsessed developer who thrives on hunting vulnerabilities and building resilient applications from the ground up. In this role, you’ll identify, assess, and mitigate security risks across the SDLC—embedding secure-by-design principles into every stage of development. Acting as a trusted Application Security SME, you’ll guide teams with best practices for secure coding and vulnerability management, perform static, dynamic, and manual code reviews, and tackle OWASP Top 10 risks head-on. You’ll integrate security into DevOps pipelines, automate scans and testing, and collaborate closely with developers to remediate issues, prevent recurrence, and align solutions with business and compliance requirements—all while keeping systems robust, documented, and audit-ready.

You bring considerable experience in cybersecurity, particularly in application security, risk analysis, and secure development lifecycle practices, along with hands-on expertise in code review and vulnerability remediation. A qualification in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience) underpins your technical capability. You’re analytical, organised, and a natural problem-solver who can translate complex risks into actionable fixes. With strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, you’ll build trusted relationships across teams, contribute to system improvements and continuity planning, and deliver against SLAs—while continuously learning, sharing knowledge, and staying ahead of the evolving threat landscape.

About You!

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • Considerable progress toward or possession of a Computer Science, Information Security or a related field qualification, or considerable recent experience in a similar role.
  • Considerable experience in cybersecurity, especially in an information risk analysis or security engineer role.
  • Considerable experience in secure code review, static, dynamic and manual source code review.
  • Considerable experience in identifying and remediating common web application vulnerabilities such as OWASP Top 10
  • Considerable experience in Secure Development Lifecycle practices.
