Role/Team overview

Apps Integration provide essential technical development and support functions to internal and external stakeholders in the ever-increasing world of Apps.

As an Apps Integration Engineer, you will support the creation, deployment, support and troubleshooting of web-based streaming applications. You will work closely with engineers, product teams, delivery teams and App Developers to improve release quality and accelerate delivery.

What you’ll do

  • Own the end-to-end app integration lifecycle, from early feasibility assessments through to live app updates for millions of customers.
  • Integrate and support a wide range of partner applications, working with both emerging and established web technologies.
  • Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve issues across new and existing apps, providing root-cause analysis and technical recommendations.
  • Drive app performance and stability by optimising memory, graphics and streaming capabilities while enabling new customer experiences.
  • Develop test applications, support tools and documentation to help partners build, integrate and support apps more effectively.
  • Create, package and publish application widgets, while contributing to process and tool improvements that increase efficiency.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to internal and external partners, including troubleshooting, app deployment, architecture and publishing processes.
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Apps Delivery and Quality teams to bridge customer and technical requirements, define testing strategies, influence decisions and manage partner support channels.

What you’ll bring

  • Experience in software development or application integration, ideally within embedded platform environments.
  • Strong Linux knowledge, including commonly used tools, alongside experience with GitHub or other code repositories and version control processes.
  • Proficiency in a scripting language, specifically Python or Shell, with an understanding of CI/CD pipelines and associated tooling.
  • Experience working with multi-threaded and multi-process systems, including memory management, performance optimisation and embedded platform constraints.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication and organisational skills, with the ability to analyse issues methodically, multitask and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively, with exposure to web technologies, media streaming, and languages such as JavaScript, C++, C or HTML/CSS being advantageous.
