Senior Software Engineer

About The Role

We're hiring a Senior Software Engineer to join our delivery team.

This is a hands-on engineering role with a product mindset and a direct line to our clients. You'll own meaningful parts of what we build, help steer scope and priorities alongside delivery managers, and use modern AI tooling to move faster without cutting corners.

We're looking for a strong, dependable senior engineer who writes excellent code, communicates clearly with clients, and thinks about the product, not just the ticket.

What you'll do

• Design, build, and ship production software across the stack, owning features end to end.
• Work directly with US-based clients: join calls, translate business needs into technical plans, set expectations, and communicate progress and trade-offs clearly.
• Partner with delivery managers on scoping, estimation, sprint planning, and risk-flagging, carrying some delivery-management responsibility for the workstreams you own.
• Bring a product mindset: question requirements, propose better solutions, and prioritize what actually moves the needle for the client and end users.
• Use AI tooling (coding assistants, code review, testing, and automation) as a core part of your daily workflow to raise both speed and quality.
• Conduct in-depth code reviews and provide technical guidance to the team, especially in complex situations or escalations.
• Champion engineering best practices: help adopt and apply the guidelines and standards set with the Director of Engineering across the projects you touch.
• Mentor and coach mid-level engineers, contributing to ongoing training and knowledge-sharing that keeps the team learning and improving.
• Act as a go-to resource to unblock teams, troubleshoot complex technical challenges, propose solutions, and help teams hit deadlines.
• Contribute to internal tools, frameworks, and processes that streamline development workflows and improve overall productivity.
• Help shape technical direction on your workstreams, keeping solutions aligned with client goals and business objectives.
• Support incident response and root-cause analysis for the systems you own, and help prevent recurrence.

What we're looking for

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a track record of shipping production systems.
• US-based, able to work comfortably within US client hours. Product sense: you weigh business context, not just technical correctness, and can push back constructively on scope. Strong working knowledge of AI-enabled software development, hands-on daily use of AI coding assistants and an understanding of how to apply them effectively (prompting, review, guardrails) to raise speed and quality.
• Demonstrated ability to build automation: using AI and scripting to streamline development, testing, and delivery workflows, and a habit of automating repetitive work rather than absorbing it.
• Comfort with delivery mechanics: estimation, planning, and keeping commitments visible and on track. Solid fundamentals across at least one major stack (e.g., JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or similar), APIs, databases, and cloud.
• Proficiency across modern development methodologies and tooling, Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, containerization, and cloud platforms.
• Proven experience mentoring engineers and upholding code-review and best-practice standards.
• Exceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, particularly in complex or high-pressure situations.
• Passion for continuous learning and staying current with industry trends. Prior experience in an agency, consultancy, or client-services delivery model.

Nice to have

• Experience owning a workstream or acting as a tech lead / player-coach.
• Experience helping define or roll out engineering best practices across teams.
• Exposure to the domains we serve (e.g., supply chain, e-commerce, or enterprise integrations).
