Field Software Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in the Software Development Process:
• Submit requirements based on customer input and field experience.
• Review specifications and designs as a customer advocate.
• Review release notes and be prepared to explain new features and bug fixes to

customers.

• Present new software releases to the customer base.
• Travel to customer factories as needed to provide timely and effective software support.
• Diagnose, document and resolve software issues in the field.
• Work closely with Product Team including software & hardware engineers, process engineers

and marketing to develop requirements and design definition for software features.

• Work with Product Support to investigate and resolve field reported issues on released products.
• Work with Software Quality Group to test on Product simulators.
• Conduct training sessions for customers on how to use our software products effectively.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of customer interactions and issue resolutions.

Requirements

• Experience with command level scripting for MS Windows and other operating systems.
• C# programming skills. PowerShell scripting skills.
• Understanding of SW development cycle, from requirements to testing, integration and delivery.
• Systems Management Experience with MS Windows.
• A team-player attitude and strong written and verbal communication skills are a must.
• Ability to travel and to work in a Clean Room environment.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Education

• Minimum BS CS or related Engineering degree with experience in software development
• Experience with the following, a plus, but not required:
• Experience with Manufacturing Communication protocols, specifically SECS/GEM.
• Ethernet TCP/IP and RS-232 communication interfaces
