Software Development Engineer, Amazon Leo

Amazon Leo is Amazon’s low Earth orbit satellite network. Our mission is to deliver fast, reliable internet connectivity to customers beyond the reach of existing networks. Export Control Requirement

Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Key job responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers across the organization to gather requirements, design, develop, deploy, and operate critical software for LEO.
• Develop code, build CI/CD pipelines, test automation, and dashboards for monitoring health of systems and data pipelines..
• Work on initiatives building automations on LEO Test infrastructure and help implement best practices for software development.

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 3+ years of programming using a modern programming language such as Java, C++, or C#, including object-oriented design experience
• Knowledge of professional software engineering & best practices for full software development life cycle, including coding standards, software architectures, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing, and operational excellence

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
