Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Ruby on Rails, extensive experience with API development, and expertise in payment system integrations. This role involves collaboration with other senior developers and engineers to develop and enhance the websites and payment systems that support our suite of PC optimization and security products, ensuring they meet the high standards our users expect.
This is a full-time position with a hybrid in-office schedule at our Los Angeles office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, with remote work on Mondays and Fridays.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, and maintain applications using Ruby on Rails as the primary framework.
- Design and implement robust API solutions to improve product interoperability and enhance user experience.
- Integrate and maintain various payment processing and product licensing systems, ensuring secure and efficient transactions.
- Contribute to feature specifications and system architecture discussions.
- Participate in code reviews and promote best practices in software development.
- Troubleshoot and optimize application performance for speed and scalability.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in SaaS and payment system development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on Ruby on Rails.
- Proven experience with RESTful API development and integration.
- Expertise in payment system integration (e.g., Sticky, PayPal, Stripe, Zuora, Chargebee and Recurly ) and understanding of financial compliance and security standards.
- Solid understanding of front-end technologies (JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3) and frameworks (React or Vue.js is a plus).
- Experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices, agile methodologies, and deployment strategies. Jira experience a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to work independently, and a strong desire to learn and grow.
- Exceptional communication and teamwork skills, with a track record of successful collaboration in a hybrid or remote work environment.
- AWS experience is desirable.
