Job Functions And Responsibilities
In this role, you will help develop and implement maritime surface and subsea software for:
- Detection, classification and localization algorithms
- Command and control interfaces, simulations, and visualizations for various acoustic sensors
- Acoustic, signal processing and autonomy algorithms
- BS or MS degree in computer science, engineering, or applied math/physics
- Proficiency in C/C++, MATLAB, and Python
- Experience developing for Linux platforms
- Experience using modern software engineering tooling (git, CI, Docker, )
- Understanding of software design and user experience (UX) principles
- Ability to obtain and maintain a S. Department of Defense Secret Security Clearance
- 2+ years of relevant professional experience
- A passion for maritime systems
- Background in autonomy, networking or communications theory
- Familiarity with IP/TCP/UDP networking and RS232/RS422 communications
- Experience with MySQL (e.g. MariaDB) databases
- Experience with MATLAB and ability to convert MATLAB code to C/C++ and/or Python
- Working knowledge of software middleware, such as Protocol Buffers
- Working knowledge of core signal processing concepts (sampling, filtering, transforms)
