Senior Application Developer

An ambitious HealthTech SaaS startup is looking for a Senior Application Developer to join its core engineering team. This is a unique opportunity for someone who wants to combine hands-on software development with product thinking and progressively grow into a Chief Product & Technology Officer (CPTO) position.

From day one, you will work directly with the founders, contributing to the technical direction of the product while helping shape the future of the company. As the business continues to scale, the objective is for this role to evolve into full ownership of both the product and technology strategy.

Your Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain production-grade software.
• Build end-to-end product features with a strong focus on user experience.
• Contribute to architecture and technical decision-making.
• Work closely with founders on product vision and roadmap.
• Integrate AI capabilities into the platform where relevant.
• Review code and promote engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with a small, highly experienced product and engineering team.
• Progressively take ownership of the product and technology organisation.

Profile

• 4–10 years of software development experience.
• Strong experience building modern web applications.
• Product-minded with an entrepreneurial mindset.
• Comfortable taking ownership from idea to production.
• Experience with AI tools or AI-assisted development is a strong advantage.
• Previous startup or scale-up experience is highly valued.
• French is mandatory.
• Based in Belgium or willing to work in Belgium.
