Akkodis is seeking a Sr Java Backend Developer for an 18 months Contract job with our client in Newark, DE. Ideally looking for applicants with a solid background in the financial services industry. Looking for candidates who doesn’t need sponsorship and can work on Akkodis payroll.

About the Role:

Senior Application Developer will be responsible/need to understanding business needs and update application code with unit testing, provide dev support during testing, creating proof of concept for new technology evaluation, support application deployment and creating production plan. They will be working on an agile team with a team lead. May have client interactions. Looking for somebody who can work on Akkodis Payroll.

Responsibilities:

• Understanding business needs and updating application code with unit testing
• Providing dev support during testing
• Creating proof of concept for new technology evaluation
• Supporting application deployment and creating production plan
• Working on an agile team with a team lead client interaction.

Qualifications

• Strong Knowledge and expertise in container & cloud technologies like Kubernetes, OpenShift, AWS and Azure
• Expertise in Java/J2EE technologies with minimum of 7 year of experience
• Good knowledge of technologies like Spring, Spring Integration, Cassandra, Kafka, MQ, NOSQL & Restful services, WS-Security.
• Hands on experience on tools like Eclipse, IntelliJ, Splunk, Dynatrace & Autosys, etc.
• Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries (Oracle/SQL Server)
• Proficiency in writing complex Unix/Linux scripting
• Hands on experience in UI technologies like Angular and React
• Hands on experience on Code Quality Tools like JUnit, Sonar/Crucible
• Experience on modern development methodology including Agile.

Pay range and compensation package

Rate Range: $62/hour to $65/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
