Skill: Mainframe Developer

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills

  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into mainframe technical designs.
  • Develop, test, and maintain applications using COBOL, JCL, VSAM, and DB2.
  • Perform enhancements, bug fixes, and production support for existing systems.
  • Work on batch and online (CICS) processing.
  • Debug and resolve abends and system issues in a timely manner.
  • Ensure data integrity and consistency across applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (testing, business analysts, distributed teams).
  • Participate in code reviews, documentation, and adherence to coding standards.
  • Support system integration across platforms (e.g., APIs, distributed systems).
  • Assist in migration, modernization, or system upgrade initiatives.

Roles & Responsibilities

Role Summary:

  • We are looking for a skilled Mainframe Developer to design, develop, maintain, and support enterprise applications running on mainframe systems.
  • The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in COBOL, JCL, DB2, and related mainframe technologies, with the ability to analyze business requirements and deliver efficient, scalable solutions.

Salary Range - $100,000-$120,000 a year
