Senior Security Engineer

Job Overview

The Senior, Full‑Stack Security Engineer designs, builds, and secures modern web applications and cloud‑native services. This role combines frontend and backend development, cloud platforms, DevOps automation, and embedded security practices to deliver secure, scalable systems end to end.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy secure full‑stack applications using Python and/or Java.
• Build and maintain frontend components with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, and/or Angular.
• Develop applications and services on AWS and/or GCP, applying cloud security best practices.
• Implement and support CI/CD pipelines, automation, and version control using Git and Bash scripting.
• Embed security into application design, APIs, and deployments, including IAM, firewalls, and access controls.
• Monitor and support production environments; troubleshoot and resolve application and security issues.
• Collaborate with engineering, cloud, and security teams to integrate security controls across the stack.
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in on‑call and change‑management rotations.

Required Skills

• Strong experience with Python and/or Java backend development
• Frontend development with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React or Angular
• Hands‑on experience with AWS or GCP
• CI/CD, Git, Bash scripting, and DevOps workflows
• Knowledge of application and cloud security fundamentals (IAM, firewalls, auth, encryption)
• Understanding of web protocols (HTTP/HTTPS, TLS) and modern application architectures

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• 5–7 years of experience in full‑stack engineering, security engineering, or cloud engineering
• Comfortable working across code, cloud, DevOps, and security
