Senior Development & Support Specialist – Appian
Location: Sydney | Hybrid
We’re partnering with a large, established financial services organisation that is continuing to invest heavily in automation, integration and digital capability.
They’re looking for an experienced Senior Development & Support Specialist (Appian) to play a key role in designing, building and supporting business-critical solutions that streamline processes and improve both customer and internal experiences.
This is a hands-on role combining Appian development, solution delivery and Level 2/3 production support, working closely with business stakeholders, architects and engineering teams.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for:
- Designing, building and enhancing Appian applications, workflows and integrations
- Delivering automation solutions that improve business processes and customer outcomes
- Translating business requirements into scalable, secure and maintainable technical solutions
- Providing Level 2 and Level 3 support across Appian applications
- Investigating, resolving and preventing production issues and defects
- Contributing to solution design reviews and technical best practice
- Driving continuous improvement across Appian development practices and platform standards
- Supporting governance and broader platform maturity
- Sharing knowledge and contributing to an internal Appian Community of Practice
- Working across the full software development lifecycle within an Agile environment
About You
You’re an experienced Appian professional who enjoys solving complex problems and delivering solutions that have genuine business impact.
You’ll ideally bring:
- Strong hands-on experience developing solutions within the Appian platform
- Experience designing scalable, secure and maintainable applications and integrations
- Strong understanding of APIs, integrations and modern development tooling
- Experience providing Level 2 and Level 3 application support
- Strong knowledge of software development best practices and SDLC methodologies
- Experience working in Agile delivery and DevOps environments
- Ability to analyse and resolve complex technical and production issues
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills across technical and non-technical teams
- Experience contributing to technical standards, governance and continuous improvement
- A collaborative mindset with the ability to mentor and support team members
- Appian certification, or progress towards certification
