About The Role
The Junior Application Developer supports the Application Development team by assisting with day‑to‑day maintenance, troubleshooting and incremental development tasks, working closely with senior developers and team leader to help deliver stable and evolving digital services. The role also undertakes routine tasks, minor enhancements, documentation and application administration as part of ongoing support for core applications.
What You'll Be Doing
- Application Development and Maintenance - Assist in developing and enhancing applications, including implementing minor code changes, fixing low-complexity defects, and supporting routine testing activities to maintain application functionality and performance.
- Application Administration and Support - Perform routine administrative tasks such as configuration updates, environment maintenance, monitoring, and system checks to ensure stable, secure, and efficient application operations.
- Documentation - Maintain accurate technical documentation, including change notes, configuration details and troubleshooting steps to support knowledge sharing and operational continuity.
- Collaboration - Work closely with senior developers and IT colleagues to support project work, continuous improvement initiatives and operational requirements.
- Technical Troubleshooting - Investigate and resolve user‑reported issues in a timely and professional manner, escalating more complex matters when required.
- Completion of a relevant IT degree, or an equivalent combination of education, training and practical experience.
- 2+ years of proven experience with C# .NET Core.
- 1+ years of experience with Vue.js / React, JavaScript, HTML, CSS.
- 1+ years of experience on Azure cloud services, including Azure App Services, Azure Function Apps, Azure B2C, Azure DevOps, including CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to innovation and automation.
- Capable of producing clear and accurate documentation for systems, processes and technical solutions.
- Demonstrates awareness of secure coding principles and application lifecycle fundamentals.
- Able to assist internal and external users/stakeholders by resolving issues, performing basic bug fixes and completing service requests.
- Knowledge of or exposure to SharePoint Online (desirable).
- Knowledge of or exposure to Azure components and cloud‑based services (desirable).
