Job Description

As a Data and Automation Specialist, you will play a key role in scoping, coordinating, and delivering automation of the Client Service & Reporting (CSR) team's core investor reporting workflows. This role combines technical fluency, project management, and cross-functional partnership to build and maintain the data infrastructure and automation solutions that underpin investor and counterparty reporting. Reporting to the Investor Reporting Manager, this position sits at the intersection of CSR and the software engineering teams. The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues across Investor Relations, Finance, and Engineering, and will have direct impact on the firm's reporting scalability. This role will make a strong impact, as the automation and data infrastructure you help build will directly enhance the company’s leading position in the world of quantitative finance.

Responsibilities

  • Scope, coordinate, and deliver automation of investor, lender, and counterparty reporting workflows, and support development of in-house automation solutions within CSR
  • Serve as the primary liaison between CSR and the software engineering teams, managing cross-functional delivery and translating reporting requirements into technical specifications
  • Partner with engineering to integrate new internal and third-party data sources and support the establishment of database infrastructure to organize and surface team data
  • Support product launches by advocating for CSR's data requirements, and contribute to firmwide technology and data initiatives on behalf of the Reporting team


Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in a data, automation, or technical operations role at a hedge fund, asset manager, or similar financial institution
  • Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional projects involving both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Technical fluency with data pipelines, reporting systems, and database concepts; hands-on experience with SQL, Python, or similar tools preferred
  • Experience working alongside software engineering teams and translating business requirements into technical specifications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience collaborating across internal teams and with external providers
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills required
  • Eagerness to work with diverse teams such as Finance Engineering, Fund Finance, Back Office Engineering team, Client Research, Trading Operations, etc.
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or technical field, or equivalent applied experience
