We are looking for a Software Engineer to join a global healthcare technology team developing the next generation of intelligent solutions for Ultrasound Systems.
Your responsibilities
- Develop, implement, document, test, and verify software modules for diagnostic ultrasound scanners and related healthcare applications
- Contribute to key projects including WebViewer, Developer Applications, streaming clients, Python reference clients, and C++ core components
- Build software using C++, C#, .NET, WPF, WinForms, COM, AppAPI, Visual Studio, and MSBuild
- Apply engineering best practices including TDD, CI/CD, code reviews, automated testing, coding standards, documentation, and PR-based development workflows
- Support system integration activities including configuration, hardening, interfaces, image and data handling, streaming protocols, and modular client development
- Collaborate with global engineering and system teams to deliver high-quality software solutions in a regulated healthcare environment
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, retrospectives, scoping, verification, and continuous improvement initiatives
What we’re looking for
- BSc, MSc, or PhD degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
- Professional software engineering experience
- Strong programming skills in C++ and/or C# (both preferred)
- Hands-on experience with Windows desktop development, including Visual Studio, MSBuild, WPF, and WinForms
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control systems, automated testing, technical documentation, and PR-based workflows
- Experience working in Agile environments
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and software engineering best practices
- Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken
- Self-driven, proactive mindset with the ability to work independently in a global environment
Nice to have
- Experience with Windows UI and system technologies such as WPF, WinForms, MFC, COM, and AppAPI
- Experience working with Python and mixed C++/Python applications
- Experience building and integrating DLLs and LIBs in Windows environments
- Knowledge of medical device software development or other regulated industries
- Experience with imaging technologies, ultrasound systems, image processing, streaming technologies, DICOMWeb, or archive workflows
- Experience using or developing AI-based solutions
- German language skills
