We are looking for a smart and reliable Software Engineer ( mid level) to become part of the Airbus Defence and Space Romania team.

The ideal candidate has excellent abilities in Software Engineering , experience with different types of systems and structures (application, interface and underlying subsystems), DevOps awareness and scripting skills.

Responsibilities:

• Review requirements, specifications and technical documentation
• Create and maintain software modules mainly in Python/C/C++
• Carry out the Software development activities on the system integration platform until the system acceptance
• Create and perform research (Proof of Concepts) for various software technologies
• Participate to project’s ceremonies (i.e. Agile, Waterfall, V-Model)
• Based on business needs, travel outside the country may be required

Requirements:

Knowledge and skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and/or similar background
• 5 years working experience in software development ( systems programming is an advantage)
• Experience with programming languages such as Python/ C/C++/Rust
• Experience with other OOP programming languages such as Java would be considered an advantage
• Experience with scripting programming languages: Bash, Perl, etc.
• Experience with testing and debugging in an embedded environment
• Good understanding of communication / networking interfaces and protocols (TCP/IP stack)
• Knowledge of operating systems: Linux, Windows
• Knowledge of continuous integration, build and deployment tools
• Knowledge of JIRA ticketing system or similar systems
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Fluent in English
• Police record clean
