Java & Groovy Developer - Application Support Focus

We are looking for a Java & Groovy Developer to support, maintain, and improve existing business applications. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys analyzing issues, understanding existing codebases, solving technical problems, and helping users and internal teams keep important systems running reliably.

What You'll Do

• Provide technical support for business applications developed in Java and Groovy
• Analyze incidents, troubleshoot issues, and identify root causes
• Fix bugs and implement small to medium-sized enhancements
• Ensure the stable day-to-day operation of existing applications
• Collaborate with users, internal stakeholders, and development teams to understand issues and clarify requirements
• Deliver practical, effective solutions to technical challenges
• Support testing, documentation, deployment, and release activities
• Contribute to the ongoing improvement of applications, processes, and support practices

What You Bring

• Hands-on experience with Java development
• Experience with Groovy or a willingness to work with Groovy-based applications
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to maintain and improve existing software
• Experience in application support, software maintenance, or second-level technical support
• Good understanding of databases, APIs, and backend systems
• Experience investigating logs, reproducing issues, and performing root cause analysis
• Strong communication skills and a service-oriented mindset
• A structured, reliable, and proactive approach to work

Nice to Have

• Experience with Spring, Grails, or similar Java/Groovy frameworks
• Knowledge of SQL databases
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment processes
• Familiarity with ticketing systems and support workflows
• Basic understanding of cloud platforms
