ManpowerGroup Greece, on behalf of its client, a leading technology company specialized in Industry 4.0 solutions and industrial software, is seeking a Application Support Engineer

Our client specializes in the development of enterprise applications and integrated information systems, supporting organizations in the automation and optimization of critical business processes.

What will you do:

In this role, you will play an active part in the development, enhancement, and maintenance of enterprise software applications and information systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions, contribute to system architecture decisions, and ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of business-critical applications

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing, enhancing, and maintaining the core enterprise software platform
  • Designing, implementing, and optimizing databases and database objects in MS SQL Server
  • Integrating the core system with ERP platforms, external applications, APIs, and peripheral devices
  • Analyzing business and technical requirements and translating them into effective software solutions
  • Creating and maintaining technical documentation, specifications, and implementation guides
  • Troubleshooting and resolving complex application and system issues
  • Participating in code reviews and contributing to software quality, performance, and security improvements
  • Collaborating with senior engineers, business stakeholders, and project teams to deliver successful implementations
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and promoting development best practices

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or Automation Engineering with a focus on software development.
  • 3–5 years of professional experience in software development or a similar technical role
  • Strong knowledge of MS SQL Server, including query optimization, stored procedures, views, indexing, and performance tuning
  • Experience with system integrations, APIs, and interaction with external systems and devices
  • Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and software engineering best practices
  • Experience in analyzing business requirements and providing technical solutions
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Good command of the English language
  • Eagerness to continuously learn new technologies and contribute to technical improvements

Any experience in the following will be considered an asset:

  • Experience with ERP integrations
  • Knowledge of enterprise application architectures
  • Familiarity with version control systems (Git)
  • Experience with performance monitoring and troubleshooting of enterprise systems
  • Understanding of software security principles and best practices
