We're looking for a technically sharp and solutions-driven Systems Operations Specialist to join our Tech Ops and Production Support team at our downtown Greenville, SC headquarters. In this role, you'll report to the Sr. Manager, Technical Operations and play a critical part in supporting field operations, maintaining production systems, and ensuring our infrastructure runs reliably and securely. What You'll Do

The Systems Operations Specialist is responsible for supporting applications and infrastructure in alignment with business service level agreements (SLAs), while partnering with Field Operations and the Service Desk to deliver seamless technical support.

Support & Infrastructure

• Provide Windows 10 LTSB hardware replacement support, including vendor selection, configuration, testing, and imaging of new hardware and peripherals
• Administer CVE patching, Windows security updates, hotfixes, and vulnerability remediation using deployment tools such as Intune and PDQ
• Manage, configure, and provision branch hardware peripherals—printers, scanners, card readers, tablets, signature pads—ensuring compliance, firmware, and software currency
• Support installation, testing, and certification of Point of Sale (POS) software
• Assist remote technicians with branch hardware and software installations and POS operations certification

Operations & Documentation

• Develop and maintain operational documentation including standards, procedures, process diagrams, and support references
• Develop and maintain 24x7 system and process monitoring to provide Tier 1/2 support as part of a rotating on-call schedule
• Identify, communicate, escalate, and troubleshoot issues between technical operations and internal customers

Drive & Deployment

• Provision new business locations within enterprise point of sale systems
• Support and maintain enterprise POS systems including workstation imaging, deployments, configuration, advanced scripting, and Oracle/SQL DB querying

Manage & Maintain

• Manage delivery of batch processes and services supporting live production systems, including reports, data extracts, and file movements
• Manage application environments—deploying and maintaining applications, servers, databases, and software in coordination with environment owners
• Manage application migration and deployment across SDLC-compliant environments from development through production release
• Drive continual process improvement to make systems better, faster, and more stable while reducing maintenance overhead

What You'll Bring

• AA or AS in an IT-related field, or equivalent experience; 2+ years of experience in the IT field
• General working knowledge of technical systems, quality standards, security concerns, production environments, and systems monitoring
• Operating system experience in Windows, Linux, and Unix environments
• Experience with Windows/DOS batch files, shell scripting, SQL, and/or PERL
• Experience with application servers, web servers, databases, and schedulers
• Proven ability to manipulate and move data and files across environments
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to design, build, monitor, and troubleshoot production processes and systems
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to relate to all levels of employees
• Adaptability and flexibility in a dynamic, high-volume, fast-paced environment
• Self-starter with a team-first mindset and the ability to cross-train and cross-support teammates
• Ability to understand and ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and industry regulations
